Meet Dr. Kory Golchert
Endodontist – Tustin, CA
Dr. Golchert hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he resided until he graduated from high school. He made his way to Northern California earning his Bachelor’s degree with a double major in chemistry and biology at CSU, Sacramento. He spent a few years teaching general chemistry at the university prior to moving to Southern California to begin his Ph.D. studies in chemistry at UC, Irvine. His doctoral dissertation involved the biophysical characterization of various eye lens proteins involved in cataract formation mainly using solid state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. After lecturing chemistry at various community colleges around the greater Los Angeles area, he began his studies in dentistry at the University of Southern California. Upon graduation he completed a hospital based general practice residency within the VA healthcare system in Loma Linda. From there, it was back to Northern California to join the endodontic specialty residency program at UC, San Francisco. Dr. Golchert has authored articles for scientific journals within the fields of chemistry and endodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and American Chemical Society. Outside of his practice, Dr. Golchert enjoys playing golf, cooking, rooting for the SF Giants and Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his wife and son.
